The contestants with their marvelous firework shows gather at Han River for the annual world-class competition. These artistic shows are the best in the field, and the competition is so strong that there are simply no bad shows. The competitors range from countries throughout the world and each has a twenty-minute limit to show their best. So come in advance and choose the best spot to witness this remarkable spectacle in the beautiful surroundings of the Han River and Da Nang City.

Entertainment Program

Each performance is the result of a lot of work performed with sounds so these colorful firework displays are indeed works of art. The location of Vietnam’s ‘Bridge City’ suits this festival perfectly. Fireworks are launched from a floating stage, with attractive buildings in the background. It's possible to buy tickets to see the action from the main stage. Taking place on Tran Hung Dao, on the Eastern side of the Han River, it also offers plenty of music, food and other entertainment for festivalgoers.

Each night of the festival is dedicated to a certain theme, supporting the main theme of the event, "Made in Unity, Global connectivity, The Glorious Five Continents." The performances are honoring nature, friendship values, love, humanity and aspiration for the future.

Firework Competition Schedule

Drawing in nearly one million spectators every year, the pyrotechnic shows take place between early June and early July. On June 8th, you'll have a chance to witness stunning fireworks displays from Vietnamese and French teams. USA and Italy will compete on June 15th, while Germany and Poland will cross swords on June 22th. The penultimate contest between China and Finland will take place on June 29th. The culmination of the festival will unfold on July 13th. All performances take place between 8 and 10 pm.

Tickets

Da Nang International Fireworks Festival offers a plethora of ticket options to everyone's liking. Prices differs for international visitors and Vietnamese citizens. The tickets to the opening night start from 760,000 Vietnamese dong. Admission for international adults ranges from the 1,870,000 to 1,910,000 Vietnamese dong, while Vietnamese adults pay a fee of 1,570,000 or 1,610,000 Vietnamese dong.

Entry for children also varies, with tickets for international children costing 1,570,000 or 1,610,000 Vietnamese dong. Admission for Vietnamese children is 1,320,000 or 1,360,000 Vietnamese dong. Kids under 3 feet tall can enter for free, but need to sit in the same seat as the adult.

Location

Situated on the coast of the South China Sea, Da Nang has always been a great spot for a summer getaway with clean blue water and exquisite beaches. Throughout its run, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has been taking place near the Han River. This year, the grandstand is located in the Son Tra District, at the Tran Hung Dao Street.

History

Founded in 2008, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition became a bi-annual event in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 and is dedicated to the Vietnam National Reunification Holiday, a day to honor the country's unity and liberation. However, starting from 2018, it was decided to hold the festival as an annual event.
