Since 1896, the city of Kyustendil has welcomed the bright and sweet Cherry Festival, which is held every June. All varieties of cherries from manufacturers all over the country are on display in the City Garden. In parallel, the "Cherry in Crafts" is held, where you can observe various competitions for "Biggest cherry," "Best arranged cherry stand," and others. The folk festival "Chereshchitsa Rod Rodila" also has a rich artistic program. The ensembles, dance formations, and individual singers present cherrys' impact on Bulgarian folklore.

The main attraction of the celebration is the cherry and cherry product exhibition market. Booths are adorned with vibrant and delectable fruit, along with intricately crafted cherry-themed decorations. Local merchants and craftsmen from Kyustendil present their treasures. One of the highlights of the festival is the cherry-picking experience, where guests can pick fresh cherries from local orchards and enjoy them right on the spot.
