The Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival is an annual get-together for balloon lovers and wine aficionados. In essence, it blends the elegance of wine tasting with the excitement of hot air ballooning. The festival takes place in a scenic setting, drawing guests from all walks of life to experience the fusion of leisure and adventure. Sky-high marvels of various colors adorn the festival grounds, resulting in a lively and enthralling environment.

Location and Dates

The Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival takes place on Friday and Saturday at Ta Ha Zouka Park, Elkhorn, 23 mi (37 km) west of downtown Omaha. The festival hours are 5 pm to 11 pm on Friday and 3 pm to 11 pm on Saturday.

Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival Program

The festive program features wine and food tastings along with hot air ballooning. In addition, there will be a KidZone, a Family Village, and helicopter rides (on Saturday).

Hot-air balloons launch on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. However, the festival gates will open at 5 pm so spectators can have an early glimpse as pilots prepare for the ride. Wine testing contains some exclusive handcrafted wines from the best wineries in the USA. KidZone offers pony rides, inflatable bounce, Slides and Patriot Ride, bungee jump bouncing, face painting, balloons, and much more for the little one. Visitors also can fly on the helicopter around the festival area for approximately 15 minutes.

Tickets

General admission tickets cost $17 and $21 at the gate, and they include five wine tastes and a souvenir glass. Tickets for children aged five to twelve are worth $8, while kids aged five and under have free admission. Wine tasting package costs $17 in advance and $21 at the gate.

Parking

Free parking is available at Elkhorn High School. Also, shuttles will take visitors to and from this location.
