Who wouldn't like to farewell summer at the Lake Michigan waterfront with gallons of craft beer from the Great Lakes' breweries? The Burning Foot Beer Festival (BFBF) has it all and even more. So you've got a perfect occasion to end summer by enjoying beers from 70+ local breweries, live music, arts, evening bonfires, and camping on the beach. In addition to food vendors on-site, beer munchies can hike to Muskegon and dine in one of the city's prime restaurants too.

Burning Foot Beer Festival always strives to grow and continue impressing its audience with an exciting selection of up-and-coming and renowned music artists. In the past years, the festival stage featured Julian Marley, the son of legendary Bob Marley, Tropidelic, Everclear, Upcoast Kin, Plain White T's, and many others.
Entertainment
The organizers annually set up art installations at the beach, entertaining the visitors with new and innovative ways to break the routine. The festival's signature character, which resembles hops, a key ingredient of beer brewing, is featured in almost every promotional artwork. You'll have a chance to play a carnival game, Hopperation Game, and witness an iconic Flaming Hop Tower.
Schedule & Location
The annual party takes place in scenic Pere Marquette Park on the shore of Lake Michigan in Muskegon. It typically takes place on the last Saturday in August. The venue opens its doors for VIP tickets at 2 pm, while the general admission holder can enter at 3 pm. The festivities last until 10 pm.
Tickets
The festival offers several ticketing options for casual festivalgoers and for those who'd like to camp out at the site. General admission costs $60 online and $80 on-site, which covers 15 tasting tickets and a souvenir glass. For $150 online and $170 on-site, you can purchase a Sandbox VIP pass, which gives you an option of early entry, access to an exclusive area, a delectable meal, and reserving privileges. Camping in a trailer or an RV costs $150 online and $200 on-site, while a spot for your tent is valued at $75 online and $95 on-site.
Accommodation & Camping
As for your stay, camping is a great choice, which allows you to fully relish the natural beauty of Lake Michigan and the sand dunes surrounding the venue. The area has two campgrounds, namely Tent Campground, nestled next to the event's grounds, and Channel Park–RV at Margaret Elliot Drake Park. If you're not a camping person and would prefer comfort, consider the nearest accommodations available for rent.
Transportation
If you're traveling from out-of-state or another city in the area, consider grabbing a ticket to the Muskegon County Airport, which is located 10 miles (16 km) away from Pere Marquette Park. And if you're staying in Muskegon, the festival provides regular shuttles throughout town, running from 12 pm to 11 pm. The shuttles stop near Delta Marriott Hotel, Great Trunk Boat launch and the Pere Marquette Park. Parking near the venue costs $10 per day.
